Toe covers on MTB shoes

I prefer toe covers for long sleeve weather. Currently, I have some PI ones that expose the cleat, but fray from walking on the vinyl over the lugs. Anybody have ones that fit well? prefer elastic over velcro straps. I guess another option is just to buy cheap ones.

Survey says-
1) I can cut the bottom of my PI Cyclone covers
2) PI PRO covers
3) Bellwether covers
4) Over socks, wax the toe area if not windproof enough .

This might be too much but look for a set of winter MTB shoes. Specialized and Shimano make some good sets. It was one of the best cycling purchases I have ever made. They are much warmer, almost waterproof, and way more comfortable in cold weather. Highly recommended and you can get them pretty cheap. Here is the most current Shimano version: http://a.co/j87hpX3

I'm hand-temp limited as my hands get quite painful if cold. I can't ride below 39deg or so. I'm good with toe covers. I found Bellwther and cutting my PI covers worked just fine.
