Gents,

Anyone found the need/desire to pit less often when on discs? I have noticed it on other riders but wondering if anyone has any input?

Pitting and bike changes have little to do with brakes.
It's mud build up on the drive train and frame that are the main issues.
As far as brakes....whether running cantis or discs....it's important to run the right pads in a muddy race

I agree, and not trying to start a canti vs. disc debate, but at CX Masters Worlds here in the US several years ago, I saw a lot more mud accumulate between the rim and cantilever brake arms/bosses than I did the next year with disc brake equipped cross bikes. That said, in both instances, mud accumulation on the shelf ahead of the rear wheel where the stays join the bottom bracket was the main reason for pitting regardless of brake type!
