I'm interested to hear if anyone has any experience with the Easton EC90 crank...a strong frontrunner for my new gravel project! :beerchug:

I don't believe Easton EC90 SL crank is available just yet.

It's interesting if you like single chainring. But i personally think they have done a mistake going 50/34, 52/36 and 53/39 only.
There is really no "gravel option" here.

I mailed Easton and asked of this, but they did not reply to this. Only date of the new line of gravel bars.

There are some companies which claimed they were coming out with new cranksets.
But so far, nothing. I think EE will come out with something during 2017.

Currently run Shima 6800 crank on my gravel (46/34).
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

Picture of your 6800 on your bike ?
The ultegra looks really good in 46/36 imo

Just set up a bike for someone with the EC90 crank & BB, used a RaceFace mtb cinch spider and 28/38 rings. A bit of fussing with the Ultegra FD but it's all good to go.

Excellent- thanks for the feedback! I'm looking forward to giving it a try!

I have sram red cranksets on my bikes, 1 with only 1 chainring, the other with 46/36. Found the weight on the web:

I have the ec90 crankset waiting to go on a build, all be it in a single ring, just waiting on the frame. Construction looks top notch and I'm really excited to get it spinning.

If someone wants a real econo non-weight weenie crankset, the SRAM Rival / S552 (there's a Red version too) has a wide axle and adds 2.5mm to chainline for stay clearance. But it's a heavyweight. The new Easton is very nice.

Love the Ultegra 6800, just wish I didn't have to spend $100usd every time I wanted to change the big ring.

TA Specialities have options regarding chainrings (Shimano DA9000/UL6800), if you'd like to ride micro compact.
Currently have 44/33 on my bike.
Works great!

I'm looking for a nice CX crankset for my grinder too. I'm eyeing SRAM Red as I want 2 rings but I'm open to other suggestions. Preferably light ones. :)
