Building a Kinesis UK.
Moderator: Moderator Team
Or, rebuilding is more the truth. Changing some parts and reusing some.
The frame is a simple crosslight 5t.
Reusing my cheap Fsa crank. KCNC bolts and Ta 46/36
Fork is the kinesis uk full carbon.
KCNC headset and Thomson stem, with ti bolt.
Handlebar is the Thomson Katie Compton.
Rear derailleur is a simple shimano 105 with some tweaking.
Front Ultegra.
That's all for now.

Well I can add some plans.
This will be the brakes:
It's a test, I have used mini-van before and would like to try canti.
Seatpost will ofcourse be Thomson.
With some ti bolts ofcourse.
And the clamp is a KCNC.
I intend to use alligator ilink cables.
Just waiting for the front cable hanger.

Very nice indeed! I shall be following closely.
Are you weighing everything (esp the tuned bits) as you proceed?
I'm about to build up a similar bike - considered the Kinesis, but got a killer deal on a Boardman CX carbon frame.
I'm due to collect at the end of the month, then start on the build thereafter.

Cool! Why the super-short stem?

More pictures please!
Thanks

I have been quite bad at this, and its so simple. Guess I have to start over and take out the scale..
Looking forward to see your build

So, finally getting somewhere.
Installed the mini i-links for the shifters. And test mounted the back brakes.
Not quite sure about the cantis and wich hole to put the spring in. But I have to test around and I will probably find out.

Agree on previous post but would add that I had mixed experiences using iLinks for cross builds as the mud had a habit of working its way between links, degrading flexibility and abrading the ends of the links.
