New to cross and recently glued my first set of tubs, which was an interesting/challenging experience. Has anyone used this new type of carogna tape and if so, is it comparable to the Belgium method of using tape+glue.

Looks like it's a tape only thing... at least that's what I assume from the article. Interested in knowing if someone tried it and where they got it.

Yeah, living in scotand its kinda perma mud but just now its really bad.

Zero issues at 20psi, struggling to find a bad point yet...

Interested in this stuff as well. Bit wary of using it until there is some first hand experience of it. Sounds great though

Agree with Lee - it's awesome. All team wheels on it now and zero issues at all. Have run muds super low and several instances in the dry higher grip earlier in the season of rolling the tyre under with huge load and it hasn't missed a beat.

The real winner is you can sit in front of the telly and mount a set of tubs in 20mins. I was all for glue + Belgian tape but I'm converted.

I'm interested about what you do with such a tape when instaling a new tubular, once the rim has already a tape on it from previous installation ?
I struggled for many hours to eliminate the old tape on a (road) rim.

Here sells it - http://www.hargrovescycles.co.uk/effett ... -tape.html

I assume you use the larger size for Major Tom rims.

I have the Ambrosio Crono F20 rim. google says it's a 21mm rim, so I assume I need the larger tape.

I found a local dealer. Now it seems like it costs more then a gluing job, right ?

Is everybody still happy with the tape at the end of the season?
