I believe I tried this tire on the demo Cannondale Slate. It was set up with tubes from the factory (of course) but I got the impression it was 'tubeless ready' as it was tight fitting and snapped into the bead hook of the rim.

I thought the tire was fast rolling on the pavement...was very impressed. I thought it would feel sluggish but was pleasantly surprised. As for the dirt - even though it's a slick with some file 'tread' I thought it was be a handful on the dirt. It actually feels fantastic. Plenty of grip and quite predictable at the limit I thought. I am in an arid / desert climate so I imagine this would NOT be be an ideal choice for those who deal with mud and a lot of moisture.

Hope this helps,

-Terry

That is indeed very light for 42c and tubeless compatible.

BTW, I like your Slatelpel :):)
