As you may have seen in my other recent thread, I have problems deciding on a CX bike. I am looking for something which is not too ordinary (but also not looking for full custom).

The fork must take a 15 mm axle in the front. Rear preferrably 12 x 142, but QR could work out, if the price is also lower.

Did I miss a bike in the abovementioned thread?

I have a feeling they will heavily revise it next year... Also, it has QR in the front, right?

I'm now even looking at the Canyon Inflite. It has QR front and back, but the price is very good, and the wheels can be converted to thru axles later on if I switch frames...

If my calculations are correct (component prices from German websites), buying a Canyon Inflite complete bike and a Trek Crockett frameset is the same price as building the Trek Crockett frameset up with the same components as the Canyon Inflite... But by doing this, you get the Inflite frameset for free...

Hi

I found that the best alternative for me is a Mares.

However is it just difficult to find the frame - only.

Canyon didn't have a CX bike until last year... So you're probably thinking of another bike.

bike24 has frame only but it is way too expensive compared to a 105-equipped complete bike. €2,300 vs € 2,400.

I looked at the Felt, but unfortunately I can only get the F3x here... As far as I can see, it's not similar to their top frame (it uses lower-grade carbon), which makes it a less good ideal.

It's a pretty good setup (The F3x), rides nice. Frame/Fork for my 50 with seat post clamp, HS and BB is 1.77kg

As I said, it doesn't seem like such a good deal considering what else is available... At least not here.

Also the chain stays are 430 mm, which is 5 mm longer than most other CX race bikes. That choice seems weird to me.
