Mixing 29er front with CX rear

I'm thinking of setting up my bike with a Rhino XL front tub tyre (47mm) and a standard CX rear tub (32-34mm). Reason being I ride quite often chattery rooty singletrack paths and want a bit more "compliance" up front
My fork fits 47mm
Is this going to ride OK or will it be dreadful
