Very interested in removing the shift drum from a Hydro Left Brake lever, has anyone been able to tackle this one?

The weight saving is about 40 grams (look at difference between weight of Force22 and ForceCX1 shifter set on sram website. 'Eliflap' posted a thread about doing it for Red22 shifters.

i removed just the shift lever and kept the internals. really easy to just remove that little c-clip and press the axle. the only problem was that the exposed section under the lever didn't feel real good on my hand.

I just did this last night. Very easy to do. Most importantly the hydro is not effected.
1. Remove C clip from brake lever pivot.
2. Turn reach screw clockwise until it is no longer threaded into the brake lever.
3. Remove brake lever.
4. Then you just follow the standard hack for the rest... http://www.cxmagazine.com/removing-sram ... ingle-ring
