Anyone knows (ballpark) of cx Ti frame ( size 55 _ TT:55 ST:55 ) ?

Consider new build and wonder what weight penalty I could have comparing to Alu /CF… .

You could consider a Lynskey procross from CRC. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/au/e ... -prod86276

In a 55cm, you're looking at about 1.55kg

I think more about custom build : 31.6 seatpost, tapered fork steerer, canti, negative sloping, BSA bb…

So it seems that weight "penalty" vs carbon will be around 300-400g , and weight of Ti is around same as good aluminium….

My 1994 era Litespeed Classic frame (size 58cm, with horizontal dropouts) weighs 1.49 kg.

I assume modern Ti frames would be lighter.

I have a 2006/2007 Merlin CR Works 3/2.5 in size M (55,5cm horizontal toptube)

It weighs 1115g without seatpost-binder, bottlecage bolts, FD-binder, headset etc.
I doubt you can go lower than 1100g without sacrificing stiffeness. the Tom Kellog designed tapperd/eliptical top and down tubes is pretty advanced stuff and not even butted.
I was mad by AMBCG (litespeed/merlin), but nowadays Seven does the same tubtube when OEM'eming Tom Kellogs's own Spectrums. Seven does not use that design on their own frames though.

- stiff and stable enough back when my weight was +95kg.
For the past 3-4 years my weight has been arround 79-84kg but i have been doing Alpine creditcard touring with 10-12kg with a Carradice SQR and a Super-C front bag

2005 or so Litespeed Tuscany road frame. 1400 grams roughly. 57cm size. Or 59cm size. It has a 57.5cm toptube. Hopefully a little information to give you a rough idea about what a factory titanium frame will weigh.
