^ You're right, you have to purchase calipers separately. Looking at it, R785 shifters, hoses and calipers set is not that bad. Sure the derailleur is big bucks, but still.

Thanks all, eventually got them from bike-components.de, all parts in a kit and need to be bleed.

do anyone have some close up pictures of the new rs785 caliper. looks like they changed up the color compared to the first generation. i want to match it up to either ultegra or dura ace.

I am curious to know which is lighter, the RS685, 785, or XTR calipers.

R785 is jsut a rebadged XT caliper isn't it? Price point would suggest so.

I'd have thought Shimano would have thought a bit harder about the design for road bike calipers (ok i know direct mount is coming but the actual calipers look like they'll be the same design)
