1) Did you mount the chainring where the outer or inner chainring used to go?
2) What chainring screws/bolts did you go with and what is their orientation?
3) What spacers did you use for the hidden bolt if you mounted the chainring on the inside?

Basically, describe your setup in detail if you could.

I have a set of 10-speed carbon Chorus cranks. I bought the 42T, 135BCD Thorne Koksijde chainring for single ring application from cyclocrossworld.com. I also bought shorter single speed chainring bolts. My initial thought was to mount to the inner position. This didn't work out well at all. No extra spacer to take up the gap the the outer chainring usually filled. Singlespeed chainring bolts I bought don't at all play nicely with the Campagnolo spider arm thru hole diameters. The Campagnolo bolts don't work either, no matter if I put the bolt on the inside or the outside. So I tried the chainring in the outer position. Again, the singlespeed bolts I bought don't work at all. Surprisingly, the stock Campagnolo bolts do work, except for the hidden bolt. For that, one of the shorter singlespeed seems to work. My only worry now is the chain clearance to the back of the crank arm.

Any help would be appreciated. I can't find any pictures out there on the Interwebz.

I have my single chainring on the inside. See my topic on Campy narrow-wide single ring set up for details. This should answer your questions aswell. http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=127393
