Probably for a whole team, but it would be nice to choose wheels and tires depending on course...

if you guys would come to any hotel of a national team now, you would see similar things...christian heule has at least 12 sets of wheels here, 2 lw, 3 ksyrium, 7 zipp-tune with different sort of dugasts and some tufos.
i have 2 lw, 1 zipp-tune, 3 neutron, 3 dura ace-reflex.
the biggest wheel weenie was daniele pontoni, in his ford transit car there were at least 3 bikes and at least 15 sets of wheels, mostly spinergy, later ambrosio.
this evening i was at the dutch hotel and saw some intresting things. the bikes of daphny vandenbrand are claimed to be 6,4 kg, but i don't believe this until i see this hanging on a scale. she uses vantuyl all titan frames, 4za fork, dura ace and speedcomposites wheels.
the dutch junior and u23 riders will ride 32 and 34 mm tubes with normal typhoon thread.

Are there UCI Cyclocross weight restrictions? I thought that they extended to all UCI races including things like track, CX etc. I have seen Daphney's bikes (not in person) but that is where you realize how ridiculous UCI weight restrictions are. I am almost 6'1 and weigh 68kg. Why should I be allowed to ride a bike the same weight as a woman who is 5'1" tall and weighs 48kg and puts out half the watts I do?

yes, exactly this one.
the restrictions are also for cyclocross.
as richard said: last year, when the uci guys weighed bikes, daphny's was too light. then richard said to him that the 6,8 kg are for a frame in 56 cm, and for smaller frames there is a factor that small bikes can be lighter. the guy said he never heard about that, then he phoned to another comissaire and he didn't know either. then there were 5 minutes left to start and the comissaire said"go and race and tell nobody about this". i couldn't believe myself...
but i don't believe in the 6,4 kg on her bike. some parts are the same as my bike(fork, crank, chainguard), some are heavier(pedals, bar(oversize wcs classic), stem, saddle, levers), i cannot believe that the only big difference, the frame, is between half a kilo and one kilo lighter than mine(not that i'm jealous, it's simply hard to believe).

In the paper of today was an article about Lars Boom and his Material..

he has:
4 Colnago C50 bikes
2 sets Dura-Ace carbon wheels with Dugast Rhino
4 sets Dura-Ace carbon wheels with Dugast Typhoon
2 sets Dura-Ace aluminum wheels with Dugast Diamant
2 sets Dura-Ace carbon wheels with slick profile

So he has at least a set of 14:)
