just wanted to answer your lightest cross frame question. i don't have any real weight, but florian vogel once told me the alu frame in m size is about 1200 grams, wich would mean it is by far the lightest frame out there in this size. scott plans to build a cyclocross scale/cr1 bike in the next season, i think that would bring cyclocross bikes one big step forward...

Now that's what I call news 8) :o that would be so cool - looking forward to hearing more about it!!!

Funny by the way - Frischknect loves his Ritchey but doesn't want to use the Ritchey cx fork! I wonder why the design hasn't been changed!

on the first scott cyclocross bikes in 2002, frischi had mounted morati titan forks. the frames/geometry has been designed for those forks. i 8don't know if scott changed the geometry for the kuota forks and ritchey forgot that and made the wcs forks like the morati ones...just speculation.
or maybe they are going to change the scott geometry to mach the fork, and ritchey had some kind of insider info to have the first fork that goes with the frame, wich is the best way to sell their forks, because anyone will be wanting this cr1 cx frame and the only fork possible is ritchey, so they go for the ritchey fork as well.

What kind of geometry have those forks?

I use 398mm lenght /43mm rake in my ti forks. And my ti cx ti frames weight ~1350g in size 52-35 as a comparing.

This may all be a misunderstanding, but I wasn't refering to the pic that was linked up. I was refering to the proported future CR1 CX frame that Simon was talking about, and if anyone has any info about THAT bike, I'd be interested. Thanks!
