just picked up the new Ritchey Carbon Cross fork to replace the tank that come with my sworks tricross.

The new Ritchey comes in at 455g uncut (forgot to remove the dropout guard in the photo)

The Sworks Tricross carbon fact fork came in at 821g (2g for the plastic brake boss covers)

did you measure the distance from the dropouts to the beginning of the steerer(think this is called stack height?)? thomas frischknecht had this fork on his scott, but removed it because he said is was unrideable because it is around 15 mm higher than the kuota fork and the angles change that much.don't know if it's that bad, just heard it from him.

I measured it this morning. The distance from center of axle to bottom of steerer tube is 15.75". It's the same as my Reynolds Orzo Pro cross fork and the stock Specialized fork.

The only difference is the stock fork has a rake of 45mm while the Ritchey is 48mm.
This brings the trail to 66.5 from 69.7

quantum pro, what do you mean with the trail?
i'm thinking about own cx frames and need the exact measures of the wcs cx fork for the geometry. it's still to decide wether i'll use the python fork or the wcs fork(wcs is around 50 grams more )

simon, are you really happy with the python? I am thinking about getting on for my bike.

don't get me wrong, i'm very very happy with the python fork!
i never had any problems and have never heard of any racer having a problem with it(and a lot of racers use this fork).
i just don't know yet if i will have to ride ritchey products next season, and then the wcs fork will also be on my bikes. but to build the frame i need the measurements.
