Frameset around 1200 EUR?

The spirit of Grav-lo-cross. No but seriously, cyclocross and gravel go here!

Just sold my previous CX bike and are on the hunt for a nice frameset to build my next bike around.

Plan to use the bike in a handful CX club races and serve as a bad weather training bike, so here's my candidates so far. Need something with cantilever brakes to be able to switch wheel between my roadie and this one:

Here's my candidates this far:
  • Colnago World cup
  • Specialized Crux
  • Ridley X-bow, X-fire or whatever they now are called. X-something anyhow

Are there something else on the market in the same price level (~1000GBP / 1200EUR) that is more interesting at the moment that I have missed?

Missed that. Cantilevers definitely!

I've seen a decent amount of Cruxes at races and the new ones seem pretty great (though the majority of them are discs now). You should add the Cannondale CaadX to your list. Do you care about carbon vs. aluminum?

Kinesis?
Think their EVO5 frameset drops in well under 1200€ (700 odd quid IIRC) and is well tried and tested in the UK cross scene.

And its a proper cross bike, not a tourer/commuter playing at CX. Which a lot of them are slowly becoming.

I see 2011-2012 RX1 framesets going for $600 on the used market. I got one myself and can attest they are quite nice. 2013 and after are going to be disk.

In the end, I went for the Colnago World cup frameset. Looks great and have both canti & disc support for eventual future needs
