I've a crossbike since a few month and I like it a lot. But after every competition where I must ride hard my right thumb is damaged. It comes because I ride shimano and then the cable hits my thumb. Do you guy's have this too? And what can I do about it? It really hurts after the course, during it I don't feel it.

I leave the cable (re)routing, since this would be to obvious. Like rowers tend to do before every training or race: apply some pieces of tape (white medical tape, Leukoplast in Dutch, check www.hansaplast.com).

If you have blisters, use a plaster first before applying the tape, good luck!
