No one was. He's talking about old chain rings with extra tall teeth.
There's always one guy that likes to piss on the parade.

You need to read up on the XX1 chainring design. Then point us in the direction of anything that's been made in the past or currently still in production. I have a feeling you don't fully understand the concept and are making yourself look silly with such strong comments.

XX1 is the first 1x drivetrain I've been unable to lose the chain while riding without a chainguide on my mtb. When they offer a similar design with a 42 and 44 ring I'll be straight on it.
