It looks nice but it's "heavy" and expensive. Why would you want the Look over the Super X?

Can you buy a Super X as a frame set?

Buddies Hakkalugi Disk brake bike set up as a single speed with mountain bars so he can run R1 hydraulic disk brakes. He has been racing this bike for a few months and loves this setup. He has quite a few bikes in his CX stable but said this is his goto bike for light and fast. Usually places first or second in SS class in SoCal so I would say it is working well for him. Right at 15 lbs. in this setup.

Hmmm, very interesting. Do you know what kind of bar that is? Maybe you can get him to join the forum.

They are just mountain bike riser bars that he mounts at a forward/downward angle. It wouldn't be the way that I would run them but they work for him.

Syntace and at least one other company label their "risers" top and bottom so you can read it when it's set as a positive or negative rise. What are we gonna call those bars now? Droppers? Bendies??

Back in the late 80s there was a craze among mountain bikers of running handlebars backwards and upside down to force a "more natural" elbows out position. I believe Peregrine was among the manufacturers that promoted this idea. I tried it... didn;t like it. But to each his own...

you might want to tell him his front disc is on the wrong way round...

probably more dodgy than having his bars the wrong way up/round...
