Not to muddy the waters, but don't overlook the Kona Jake and Jake the Snake. Have one of the latter and LOVE it. Great as a road bike and commuter, but it's real home is the race course. :D

You can't see the rack mounts in this picture but they are there on my do anything Ridley X-Fire. Great bike, highly recommended. Comfy, steady ride but not heavy at all when you strip it down to the minimum - there is a lot of fun to be had riding it all year round, whatever the weather or terrain.

This was us getting the ferry from Barra in the Outer Hebrides just a few weeks ago. Amazing tailwind (courtesy of Odin) all the way south through the islands, catching a ferry a day.
