Thank you liam7020 for the update. Consumers approach the unbranded/generic Chinese products with much caution, so it is great great to have feedback from (brave) people who've put these frames through the motions.
I have to say, it's kinda crazy liam7020 is riding a 54 at his height, which probably suggests we smurf-types look carefully at sizing charts. I'm going to troll the www & see if I can find one.... (EDIT: found it, see below, and if it interests you, read up on ordering/pricing details on a recent buy here: http://www.velobuild.com/component/kunena/31-fm058-dengfu/179-fm058-group-buy?Itemid=0
I have a good friend who built up a 29er Chinese frame (from LT Bike)- the seatpost collar area looks to me exactly like the FM508 above. My friend couldn't be happier with the ride, and the pricepoint. He's taken a few tumbles on it too, with no issues.
For those interested, aside from the above ww topic link in the OP, you can read up more details on liam7020's rig, which are posted on roadbikereview: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/bikes-frames-forks/chinese-carbon-thread-ebay-direct-version-5-0-a-241785-165.html
