On a CX frame with top pull housing routing, what's the options when there is no existing "device" on the bottom of the seat tube to route the cable around and use a bottom pull FD ?

Yes, that's what I was looking for :D. Thanks the_marsbar. That clamp looks heavy !!!

I was also looking at possibly the option of drilling the seat tube and installing the pulley directly.

There's also the Speen adapter. There should be plenty threads in the MTB section, try a search.

Shimano makes derailleur specially for cc and top pull. FD-CX70 is cheap and works great.

Louis, I tried a few different things. I finally settled on the Speen and it has worked perfectly.

I brought the frame to the local bike store.
The seat tube (aluminium) thickness was good enough to drill a hole and put an insert for a pulley. Problem solved.
Frameset is 1269 g with hanger BTW :D .
