I'm on board with the cf clamps. I weight between 80 an 85 kilo and would trust the cf ones better then alloy ones.

Sent from my HTC.

What Frankie said.
I've been on the BTP carbon clamps on several bikesfor a few years. One case in point, 85kg on a cross bike that I just had a look at and they're perfect.
Way these things work they are in tension when mounted, so cf is actually the perfect material.

I used Ti t-bolt and Alu. nut with existing setup. Total weight is heavier than BTP but equal
to Shimano even though steel band was there. A lot cheaper though.

Shimano ST-7900 STI Lever Clamp band Unit
MFR's Part #: Y6RT98130
$110./pr.

You're better off getting the Ti versions.

Are the bolt and nut made of titanium too or just the band?

the t-nut with the titanium band is about is more or less 1 gram lighter than the ones that come with the steel band. I upgraded my ultegra di2.

titanium band=6.7g t-nut=2g
steel band=9.5g t-nut=3.4

Saved 4.2 grams per shifter.

The new ones look more heavily machined than the 7900 series ones.

Anyone have real weights for these, and are the nuts and bolts titanium as well?

I stripped one of mine a while back and wound up purchasing what turned out to be a bag five, I think. Somewhere in the garage, I still have four. Let me know if you're interested.
