Ooh, sure would be nice to know a time frame as to when those straight pull road and disc hubs will actually be available for sale.

you know what they say... one next year is worth 2 this year =]

OK I only have one, but I'm pretty sure that Salsa will keep making the Colossal and might even improve some of the components on it (New SRAM Red hydraulic??? or TRP's HY/RD setup?) heres mine with BB7's and Campy Centaur...

So what rear disc hub can you get with a Campag freehub?

DT Swiss 350, I bought the whole bike and then just swapped the drivetrain, the freehub body from DT swiss is interchangeable.

I originally planned on building the wheels myself and I have a Novatec campy disc hub (135 spacing) sitting around that I'd let go for a song if you are interested.

I was running discs on the road 5 years ago and loved them. Problem then was there were so few component options. I regret selling the bike.

those rotors are HUMUNGOUS!!!! were they the BB7's road calipers or the standard MTB ones? If they had the road ones then I bet they stopped on a dime!

Those were the original BB7 road calipers with 160mm rotors. They were overkill. But I was living in Japan and riding some really mountainous roads... never had a problem with brake fade. With rim brakes, I was eating pads weekly and experienced a couple heat-related blowouts.

In hindsight, I wish I had kept the bike and gone with 140mm rotors... at least in the rear. It really was a sweet ride. And with current technology it could have been much lighter than it was. The only downside was the rear was spaced for 130mm hubs which are still tough to find in a disc version.

It's looking exciting. I do wish someone like Enve however would pull their finger out and produce a road disc specific sub 400g rim.

Thinking of ordering up a C59 Disc right now as the ride of the standard model is divine.
