Is that 5mm?

Yep, thats 5mm. My SuperSix has two caps. One 15mm and if you remove that one you'll find a 5mm cap underneath.

Just do like Mr Landis and slam it, then reverse it.

He actually won the tdf on a old mans bike, hahaha

No, he didn't.
Well, I'd say that he won it on the old man's bike, then unwon it when he was off the bike.

This might be the solution if I can't find a 5-10mm conical spacer:
A Veloflyte Headset Dust Cover + one of my carbon spacers (1-5mm or 2-5mm) on top of it.
I was concerned about the dust cover being a weak point, but it comes with metal shims so support it underneath.

Bontrager Standard Carbon Spacers

________________________________________________________________

Top cap replaced (previously, alloy OEM cap) with no-name carbon (9g) and that has been replaced with the Bontrager carbon top cap that came with the Bontrager XXX Race Lite OS Stem. I've also switched the bolts (3g OEM for 2g bolt) and starnuts will be exchanged tomorrow "if" the one I have now is actually lighter than OEM).

With original 2.5mm spacer and top cap (I don't know if you can see it in the pictures, but in person, the more tapered Bonty cap and 1mm spacer make a HUGE difference, not to mention that the carbon looks a lot nice than the matte black Al cap):

With 1mm spacer & Bonty top cap. I'm going to file down the hard edge a bit to soften it up in order to taper it to meet the cap:

Totally forgot about your post Z. I ended up going with your set-up.
I just picked up an aluminum Cane Creek IS41 top assembly.
http://store.canecreek.com/products/pro ... 98.0?pp=8&

After doing a search of every possible option,
I knew I wasn't going to go with 5mm. 10mm would be my max. The IS41 is 9mm.
On top of that I'm going with a 2.5mm tapered spacer to tie it in better with the stem.
I was at the LBS today working it out with the mechanic. I tried a few variations before
they cut the fork. The 9mm top cover + 2.5mm tapered spacer was the ticket.

It'll be ready tomorrow. I'll have pics then.
