I am still unclear as to what the actual problem of the pedal not working properly is. Outside of the body "knocking" - was there an engagement issue? Did it not properly hold the cleat in? Claims about safety are reasonably serious but seem a bit unfounded here.
If you are going to go through the effort of "calling out a company" publicly at least share with the board your experience\evidence outside of said upset email. Especially when the chances are pretty high that there are several more than happy LOOK customers on this forum.
Either way - a locking of this is hopefully around the corner.

I have to say that I have been using Looks since the original Look pedals in 85/86 and never had an issue with any of their pedals- 15+ pairs on various bikes. While the OP may have had an issue it seems that the reaction is a little excessive, and to be frank I am still a bit bemused as to the whole issue. If you expressed yourself to the company in this fashion I am not surprised that you may not get the best resolution to your problem. I have always used, and will continue to use, Look pedals. Oh, and my blades are fine.

My riding partner had blade failures 3x in 4 months.
That said, he didn't use as much hyperbole, so it made listening to him much easier.

It is well known that titanium reacts to BS. IMO this is simply a case of BS overload. No pedal could withstand this high BS load. Frankly the BS is so high I'm suprised the pedal could rotate.

I think he makes valid points. Nobody wants to spend this kind of money on products that fall apart in 3-6 months of riding.
I had the same terrible experiences with Time's Iclic then I had the Keo Blades fall apart in 3 months of riding: One of the blades broke, and one of the pedals cracked. Both companies didn't responde to repeated emails.
Nobody should support companies that don't stand behind their products which don't performs reliably no matter how light or exotic the parts are.

Who said look doesn't stand behind their product?
All we have so far is a childish letter and a guy making an ass of himself.
Let's wait to here what look says before passing judgment.

This guy may have overreacted, but there are numerous stories of look pedals falling into pieces across the Internet and cycling community where I live.
You want good pedals go with Keywins or Dura-Ace/Ultegra.

I can certainly sympathize with the original poster's frustrations and I understand his angry and intemperate reply. However, this letter has (I'd bet) demolished any prospect of a favorable resolution from Look. After all, once the note appeared here on WW, the damage has been done and can't be repaired by anything the company might do next: they have no incentive to help, in other words.
So, some gratuitous advice: next time, give the company a "way out" of the dilemma. In other words, send a polite, reasonable note (if necessary, for your peace of mind, by certified mail so you know it was received) explaining the problem, noting the steps you've taken to address it, asking for help and then await the reply. If they ignore you, send the same letter again. If they tell you to go away, then you can write and inform them of your plan to post the original (nice) letter and the original (not nice) reply on WW without embellishment: the matter will be self-explanatory at that point. That approach (theoretically, at least) often times lubricates the "stuck" communication mechanism. After all, these are "high end" pedals and WW readers are a substantial chunk of the customers for that product. That's a big inducement to help you out, right?

As KAC eludes to, sometimes the best thing to do is write a letter and throw it away and then write a second letter once the vitriol has settled.
With Ti axels I am always curious how heavy the rider is as too much weight and presumably too much force is not a good mix with the tie axles. One of the harsh realities of being a weight weenie is that the lightest parts are the most expensive and often the most fragile.
I always choose the lightest part that I think will hold up to me and my riding, Ti pedal axels do not make that cut off.
All mass produced products will have some failures, and manufacturing defects, especially when pushing the envelope. These pedals push the envelop. DuraAce, as with most Shimano products, are sturdy and overbuilt and if you want a solid somewhat heavy pedal that will last forever great choice.
The OP may want to re-read his posts before slamming peoples grammar. Particularly when it wasn't actually a grammatical error that was being criticized.

+1 dr.
Not wanting to generalize here, but I see a lot of insatisfaction from people buying expensive, meaningless stuff (for them) they shouldn't, for lots of reasons...(weight, ability level, skills, etc...)

I had a two sets of Keo pedals with each having over 10000 miles on them and working great. Look recalled them and replaced the spindles and bearings free. They still are working but now I have ti Keo blades and am happy with them. So that's 30000+ miles. I'm 95 kilos to. Had several major crashes as well. This childish rant is not only directed at Look but he has insulted directly most of those responding. Pull the plug on him.

I have a similar issue with my Keo2 max. It started making a clicking sound after 1.5 seasons. What I find absolutely unacceptable is they don't even have a warranty page. I used the general contact page, and the guy told me to take it to a dealer. WTF, I bought it online.
