I know some of you have done it. How did you do it and what parts did/are you using?
- Zipp rims will break if you look at them too hard
- R-Sys wheels will spontaneously explode
- The ZG crankset will never, ever exist
- Everyone needs Lightweights, even if they're fat and old
- Parts actually made of metal are SO 10 years ago

Both the Q-factor and the chainline will be a lot bigger. I would buy something which fits properly.

My understanding is as such, not having done it personally:

-Requires THM or Lightning BB adapter to fit BB86 pressfit shell, and BB30 axle.
-Special wide Hollowgram axle, as the usual one is designed to fit a 68mm shell.

Once those pieces are in hand, it should be assembly as normal...

Please correct me, as this is just what I've gathered along the way.

Where do I procure the longer hollowgram axle? And the bearing kits for that matter?

Man, they are just not meant to work together. Forcing it will yield unwanted consequences (bad Q factor, tiny bearings that fall apart too soon, and high cost).

Hmm where can I get a normal hollowgram spindle? I think my machine shop could easily make a custom longer spindle for this application.

as said, you need a THM or Lightning Bottombracket, for bb86. you need a longer axle, i can´t remember what is the right length, but i remember that it´s nearly impossible to find nowadays, considering that cannondale has stopped making it. and even if you get it, you have to machine it, considering that the bearings will not be where they are designed to be on the axle. you will get higher q-factor, but that could still be okay, the biggest problem is that the chain line will be very bad.

the idea isn´t that good
