Ritchey WCS carbon saddle creaks

I purchased a Ritchey WCS carbon streem saddle recently. Within a week the saddle to develop a nasty creak when shifting my weight forwards and backwards.
A quick disassembly indicated nothing was wrong, I checked the rails that time and unscrewed the cap at the nose of the saddle, nothing seemed wrong.
I've been riding it some time now and it is holding up, however I can't stand my gear creaking. I took it off today, unscrewed the cap and starting pulling the rails. Shockingly enough the rail just popped out at the nose!
Now I'm left wondering, is it supposed to be like that? Shouldn't it have been glued / epoxied into the nose?
Can I stop the creaking by greasing it (if so, does it have to be carbon paste)?
some pics to illustrate.
