It's due out in 1st Qrt of 2012 but haven't heard if the pros are using them yet. Anyone know any inside info?

Clark Foy has been using them on local rides around here. Funny: on Wed a guy I know goes up to the group and says "so, has anyone here heard of that pedal-based power meter?" So it's in the field. I don't know if the pro riders will be using it, however.

Being co-founder and former CEO of Metrigear and currently Category Manager - Cycling Power at Garmin International, Clark Foy is not exactly Joe average rider when it comes to availability of the Vector PM.

Anyhow, do you know that Clark's Vector is a final production version?

Hardware looked pretty final, and it seems to be functional. Of course there is a lot more than that you need.

Does that mean that it may not be available to the public in the first Qrt of 2012 then.....seeing as the pros aren't testing them yet?

I don't know what the team is doing (it's still only October). Many products are released without pro rider testing. I think it's more PR than anything else.
