Easton Carbons vs Ritchey Carbons
Same rims, both have decent hubs (though I prefer Eastons but then these will be race day only wheels)

According to the Tour test the Easton set in signifigantly stiffer however the Ritchey is a little lighter and a bit more aero. For someone who's 145 at most but still a sprinter would you thing the Ritchey's to be stiff enough that I could get away with them, or should I 'settle' for the Easton's?

you may find that the more flexible wheel - the Ritchey - will have much better grip when cornering. This is exactly what I noticed when switching from my stiff Ksyriums to more flexible Zipps.

Excuse my ignorance but that seems to fly in the face of all technical knowledge.
I'd expect a flexing wheel to lose grip sooner than a stiff one.
Could it be you were running a different set of tyres?

Ciao,
