Which ti-carbon Seven are you talking about, Seven makes two. The elium is new, the top tube, seat tube, and seat stays are carbon. The odonata has a carbon seat tube, and seat stays. I have seen several of the odonatas in person and rode one, I have not seen an elium yet.
The frames are a piece of art. But I always worry about lugged frames. I have a friend with a Merlin Cielo (also a nice looking lugged carbon-ti) he has had it rebuilt twice, no crashes, last time they sent him a whole new frame.
I knew those campy ultra were expensive, thought you could get them for about 3k. But to spend that much on a set of clinchers when you could get some ACs or Rolf Elans, which are lighter, and cost much less, seems like a better deal. I thought if he spent that much he would've gotten the ADAs. If money wasn't an issue what wheels would you get. Please don't tell me Zipps.
