Nahhh. I think it's a good job. I love do-it-yourself mods.

Is that a clamp on front mech or a braze on with an adapter clamp?
You can probably save substantial weight(relative of course) by using the Parlee carbon clamp and a braze on front mech.

Clamp.. No braze on, and it might save 2g over all.. Not really worth it.
Plus I'm not buying a new front mech..

The tuning exercise involved was conceived while drinking as was the actual work.. ;)
It could be executed with a bit more care, but the result is quite good and the part is a very cheap item..

actually it's easily the lightest anti-schleck system in the world... there is a 3g carbon unit made by some germans but that 3g doesn't include the bolt and you can't mount a bar type catcher to your front mech with a nylon bolt and expect shit to work for long...

now i have to actually set my front mech up to shift poorly and drop the chain to test it out properly... ;)

I am using Parlee clamp for FD and Token chaincatcher. It works fine, you need
to retrofit some thick washer, grinding it in a taper, wedge - like. I was using a
washer supplied for brake fitting.
