Regarding the overall weight as stated being under 1400 grams, and slightly heavier than some other known wheelsets. The key point I am interested in is where that weight lies as compared to other rims. Reducing the overall weight percentage from the outside of the rim and moving it inboard will more than compensate for the total extra weight through acceleration benefits.

I would still be very happy if the wheelset was overall 100 grams heavier overall comparatively , but 100 grams lighter out at the rim with the 100 grams extra at the hub...

This is the whole point of moving the heaviest mass possible to the center of the wheelset...

It will take some creative scale work to figure out how well this weight shifting to the center design works...since overall weight of the wheelset isn't comparing apples to apples any more...
