I'm a sucker for the whole ceramic marketing buzz and splashed out on a pair of these bad boys.
They weighed 8g each and the two alloy bolts were just over 1g. I'm going to borrow the sound meter from work and do some scientific tests to measure how much free power I have released  .
Seriously considering the KMC X10SL DLC for my next upgrade.

Mine were special order through LBS but Fairwheel Bikes has them in stock. I did say "how much!" when they told me the price but I think they are better value than CeramicSpeed which I was also considering.

One thing important to recognize when splurging on these jockey wheels is, the bearing is FULL ceramic(inner and outter). Vs. the substantially more affordable aluminum ones which are not. :)

The pullies wear out long before the bearings - that goes for both the regular ceramic hybrid models and these full ceramic ;)

Has anyone put some decent mileage on these and can report on their longevity? I'm considering a pair of these for my MTB, but cannot find any user reviews at all on the internet. Anyone?

I use them on my Niner Jet 9 RDO MTB with XTR and so far so good, about 8 months of use......we don't sell too many of these are they are quite pricey

I'm using them on my newish road bike (DA 9070). I've probably got about 1K miles on them, and they're doing fine so far.
My favorite components are the ones I never have to think about.

jmartpr & jpanspac: how is the black coating holding up? Does it wear off, or are the teeth still black? Noticeable difference in shifting performance and noise level compared to standard Shimano pulleys?

Cheers!

The black finish is still on.....it's more like a dark grey than black.
Shifting performance is on par with stock pulleys.....absolutely no noise from them.

Hi,

I wonder, what exactly is the point of applying a DLC coating on the Ti pulley teeth?

Ciao, ;)

I looked up these pulleys at Fairwheel Bike. I'm still chuckling.

Wow that's pricey. I think I give those a miss.
