Very useful and informative thread. I'm using all Record 10 speed at present, but its comforting to know about the successful "mix and match" for the future!

Glad to know that shimano cassette is compatible with 10s record shifters. Are you having any shifting issues at all when you get to the smallest cog?

When I was running an 11 speed rear Campy der with 10 speed chain (on 9 speed cogs.....) I put some thin shims between the pulley wheels and cage plates - which I'd also recommend if you stick with a 10 speed chain. Alternately, get an 11 chain and it will work great with your 10 speed cogset.

You'll get a slight amount of overshifting, due to the larger actuation ratio on the 11 speed RD, but you probably won't notice it.

There is no reason to change the jockey pulleys or use any shims.

not any,I used Aligator Ilinks and dura ace inner cables.Mine is a 11-23 cassette
But heard from a friend of mine the 2011 won't.
