Assuming you had the money what piece of sinful bike exotica would you get?

About all I can think of at the moment is a BTP Nano Elite wheelset (the reason for my short list will be revealed next week if things go as planned ).

new ghisallo - more insane the reason. hasn't even come out and I really want to just see and take one for a spin. so to say I want one, is quite sinful.

Cervelo Soloist Carbon in CSC team colors with $5000 budget for build parts.
For certain parts stiffer is more important than lighter.

Colnago Extreme C finished in original C-40 U1 (gloss clear with brushed blue/purple/aqua), the colors ridden by Toni Rominger.

Wilier Le Roi finished in black/copper

Clavicula's in 177.5 or 180mm

58cm Quintana Roo Lucero frame w/ 650c wheels.

White Industries hubs, 18 rear, 18 front.
Nimble carbon tubular rims, CX rays.
Modified Profile Carbon-X bars (the risers and several other parts are ridiculously heavy. I'm working on custom alum parts now, and may fab. some carbon stuff in the future)
Shimano Dura Ace group w/ bar ends.
FSA TT cranks, scandium BB.
ZG's

Should be able to build this in the 15lb range w/ light wheels. Easily sub 16 for something a bit more aero...maybe the new tubular all-carbon H3's.

I lean more towards your direction. Rather than drop hundreds of $ on a new shiny thing to replace a working functional one, I'd rather take that money so I can ride more, or in a new place. I see more point to a post like "what are the next 5 things you plan on purchasing/replacing". Anyone can say "ooooh, if I won the lottery I'd buy lightweights"...yippee.

No need to a light and fast bike if there's no time to ride it. On the other hand it does not hurt to dream of new cool gear. I believe that both are important parts of being a weight weenie. :D

Oh well, basicly I'm happy with my bikes... well, more or less... there's just this little piece that I would like to change... aaaargh, the urge is there...
