I am looking for road bars with a very short reach.....like 75mm or less. What are some bars that have this?

I am using Ritchey Carbon Superlogic II bars in the 40cm version and the reach is only 72mm (Note: Ritchey measures C-C so these are equivalent to other manufacturers 42cm outside-outside).

http://www.ritcheylogic.com/dyn_prodfamily.php?k=141144

I really can't recommend them enough. The shape is perfect for me and they are just the right blend of stiff and comfortable for my 145 lbs. I just bought another Superlogic II bar to replace the perfectly good carbon bar that was on my second bike.

Good luck.

Here is a compendium of road bars:

http://ruedatropical.com/2009/03/road-d ... -geometry/

you can compare the short reach bars.

Nice link Henry G. Its cool to be able to compare all of the different shapes, and to see were the brake/shift mech. will be.
It would be nice to have even more bars in that chart.

Leave a comment suggesting what bars are missing. More are getting added soon.

Y'all realize that a bunch of the handlebars in our own listings have the reach and drop listed?

The VCRC is listed with 70mm and the DEDA zero-100 with 75mm.

Of all the bars I have tried- Easton SLX3 are EFFECTIVELY the shortest. THey are shaped in such a way where the spot that the lever mounts allows for closeness.
Many bars do not do this- in spite of having a short reach. Often times the spot where the lever mounts actually puts them further away.

Shimano Pro PLT Compact (Version 1 not 2, 2 had different bend). I think the reach is 65mm. I've got an extra pair but they've been painted so no logos and if you hate blue then you need to re-paint. Bars are oversized (31.8), 42cm. Very nice and comfortable. Weight is so-so but I don't want carbon bars cracking on me.

Exactly. The Ritchey Curve has a reach of only 73. The levers are actually out a good cm farther than my 3T Rotundo that has a longer reach on paper.

Specialized has 3 short reach bars available
75mm in The "S-works" Trim for $250,
74.5 in the 30g heavier "pro" trim for $45. Also Ruby SL in
75 in the "Ruby SL" Trim $260

All available in 32/40/42cm accept the S works which is 38/40cm only.

And there is always the over the top integrated stem/bar available in the same options as well.
