FSA Energy BB woes

I recently got an FSA Energy crankset that I planned on using with a Race Face bottom bracket. However It does not slide on to the BB. Seems the lips on the axle are too big.

I thought that FSA Gossamer, Energy, Shimano, Chris King, Race Face and maybe other bottom brackets were all interchangeable. What BB should I use?

Can you confirm it is a Mega Exo BB not some painted, fabricated possibly GXP one.

If it is Mega Exo it may be a little stiff to get in, but you shouldn't have to use excessive force.
