Hi all.

Sorry to drag this old thread up, but I'm looking to dismantle my C7's and thought this would be useful.

But the pictures don't show up on my screen, perhaps because the thread is old.

Does anyone know if there's a way to restore the pictures?

Cheers
GJ

Just undo the two "pivot bolts" and it all comes apart (if memory serves). Fairly straight forward, and quite easy to reassemble.

Thought I would provide a little insight regarding maintenance of KCNC C7 brakes.

After around 12 months / 12,000 km I found the front brake was not releasing cleanly.
After taking the cable off the brake, it was easy to test whether the brake cable was sticking, or the brake was sticking.
The cable assembly was smooth and in good condition. The C7 brake action was sticky ... time for maintenance.

  • Removed brake from fork and one shoe
  • Gently released spring on both sides
  • Undo the 2 pivot bolts and the brake pulls apart
  • Clean everything, grease the pivot bolts and sliding bolts at the top
  • Re-assemble and test

A fairly straight forward process.
I found the pivot bolts were dry (no lubricant), hence going forward will be performing this maintenance more frequently.
