Got about 300 km on my new x10 sl and so far it's great. It looks alarmingly like swiss cheese out of the box but it runs and shifts very smoothly, better than campy or wipperman. 106 links weighed 224.8 grams (I use compact cranks). The quick link doesn't come apart as easy as a connex but still beats a chain tool and pins and it's also a different finish so it's easier to find the link quickly for us old blind folks.
Nice when you can get lighter and have better performance too. The price isn't much different from campy or wipperman so you can basically save the weight for free. Now the only question is how long it will last.

I have a KMC X9SL on my MTB and have the same experiences: very smooth shifting and overall performance is better than Dura Ace/XTR!

Got the X9 SL 3 weeks ago! Haven't ridden it much but I think I will last as long as a DA Chain does. As posted by mises and King Wheels it runs really perfect and the shifting performance is better than the DA chain does it! I think it's caused by the "X" shaped outer links and the small dots above and under each bolt.

BTW: KMC makes the chains for Shimano!
