Billato frames are wonderful but there are other small frame builders around:

1) Guerciotti
2) Parlee (beautiful carbon frames)
3) Daccordi (used to sponsor Sella Italia-Colombia)
4) Tommasini
5) Passoni (amazing Ti frames a bit like Merlin)
6) Corratec (German I think? sponsor Sella Italia-Colombia this year)

Pegoretti has also been mentioned which are gorgeous (the paint colours and designs are amazing). The only thing is with Pegoretti is that the seat post diameters are weird due to the diameter of the seat tube.

Hi Chip42

I wish I could afford a Parlee the build quality is top banana!

Why do people shell out cash on Trek's and Giant's when they could get a Parlee, Billato, Stork etc?

I will just have to make do with my aluminium 7020 frame - adding a silver coloured WR Compositi carbon fork and matching wheels in a few weeks time - will make it a bit more bling.

I just need to stop eating cheese, cheap weight loss - it costs less! Would help me get up the hills a bit better (the few that are around here!)

Weird? 29.4 seems to be common enough, which most of his bikes use, except for the couple that are 27.2. FSA makes at least 3 different posts in 29.4, WR Composites makes a couple as well (which is where the "Pegoretti" branded seat posts come from anyway). I know I've seen others, though there may not be many. Now 31.0.. that's weird...

Search for the thread 'List of finest bikes'. Quite some input on what you're looking for.

Best, Eric
