for whats is worth I had a pair which were custom made by a "fit specialist" in London, when they finaly came they were approx 2 sizes too big, I looked like a friggin clown ! had to wear very thick socks to get them to fit.
Then, during a holiday in Majorca the Speedplay shoe plates pulled out of the sole because the dumbass "fit specialist" used screws that were too short and not the longer reccomended ones as I was using shims on the underside of the sole, these were sent back to Rocket7 to get repaird and I finally got them back 3 months later !
dear oh dear oh dear !

I have a stock pair. While yeah they are stock and not custom, the shoe sucked. Super stiff sole....but other than that I hated them. As said before, they fit about two sizes too big.
green jacket, gold jacket...who gives a sh*t
They are somewhat idiosyncratic shoes; my take:
Pros
Very light - my new ones are 208/214 grams for a 45A (narrow) w/o insoles
The soles are *extremely* stiff and of unusually high quality hand laid 3k carbon
Lots of sizes, widths etc
You can specify custom colours and some are very nice (will post pic of mine when I find out how to do it )
Cons
They are fragile - you can crack the sole easily if you walk too much or rest your foot at lights etc
Delivery times much longer than promised upfront in my experience (8 weeks vs. 3 promised)
Customer care is somewhat sketchy **
I had 2 pairs which fit me well. I like that they are uber stiff and narrow but still leave space around the toes.
On one pair I did maybe 13-15k kms on the other pair way less because I used them when the heel pad was worn out and cracked the sole. --> never ever wear w/o the heel pad. Just received a 3rd pair and will update on how these work out...
Note**: got sent shoes in the wrong custom colours (despite multiple reminders) and with a crack/line on one sole, not sure if only cosmetic, hard to say, but still...
Called the owner, KC, who responded he will rectify both issues. Still, a bit disappointed, let's see how it works out.

Thanks for this info. I have severe birth defect and was thinking of getting a custom pair. 1400 bones for 15 km is not what i would expect for that price.

I would just expect a pair of shoes with that price tag to last more than that.
It doesn't always (light means less)...
I have a Pair of D2 from 2006... thousands of miles.
Coppercook, D2 can cast and work directly around birth defects etc...

I got the stock 45A in custom colours (had my own custom footbeds)
The second pair with 13-15,000kms are still in very good conditions....but I treat them "with love" (virtually no walking etc)...no issues with glue/stitching
The D2s do seem excellent...but $1250 upfront...ouch....though I can see that arguably in the long run it may not be that crazy...
