These are the brakes that came standard on my bike (2010 spec roubaix elite)

Before i strip the brakes on my roubaix elite to weigh them, does anyone know the weight already? If so what does this include? The brakes are known as;

"Arch design, cold forged dual pivot with cartridge pads"

I cant find any info on them on the net?

The same brakes come with the tarmac elite and i am sure a few other spec bikes.

I am upgrading my bike to a SRAM red group set and i want to know the exact weight before i make the jump.

Is there a lighter brake set maybe that works as effective as the SRAM red in the same price braket?? :?: :?:

Bin them.

They are vastly inferior to anything from Sora and above in terms of longevity, power & serviceability. The reason Specialized fit them is to save money thus hitting the required price point. I have replaced far too many under warranty to remember!
