For 4k you can build a much better bike, imho... with Campy Record too! Are you set on that specific frame? I can help you achieve a better build if you're interested... PM me and I can tell you some pricing on the following...
Campy Record, Easton EC90 SLX etc...
I really don't like the wheel choice, or any FSA wheelset for that matter...

BILL NIKO, YOU WILL NOT EVER BE FORGOTTEN.

From the bloke with six-13 as his signature...
For 4k you could do a hell of a lot better. Hunt around a bit moreand you could get near top of the line everything for that. Start with pedals and wheels. Frame is personal so no comment on that.

agree with stumpster
that's a fair wad of cash and you can get some serious WW equipment with it...
take your time with the purchases!

Seems v. expensive for the weight. I'm just building a Colnago Rapid (all Alloy frame + carbon street forks). It costs about £100 less than the Active and approx the same weight and identical forks. I then spent a lot of time finding the lightest, reasonably priced parts I could. Found some good bargains like the M2Racer headset for £47 (39g). Got some custom build tubular Mavic wheels which for £160 total (including build costs) they will came in at around 1,500g (without skewers).
Total build cost is just over £1,200 for everything with a weight under 7.1kg for the total build.
Places you can save is saddle/post, pedals (get Aerolite @76g the set), lighter handlebars / stem (I got 299g bar / stem combo for under £50 with a second hand Syntace F99 + Cineli Solida bars). Not sure about the wheels but I really like my custom build tubs and for the price / weight - they are a bargin. I also brough a pair of Dia-compe Blaze brakes (£19.95) which are the same callipers as the BRS200 but with crap shoes / pads. Without pads weight is 202g. Took the shoes / pads off and put on a spare pair of BTP carbon shoes I have to give me a set of brakes weighing 232g for a cost of £69.95.

The frame is around $1060 export from Europe and Chorus carbon crank group about $1040. That's $2100. I can't see spending the remaining $1900 on the suggested other stuff

al colnago with chorus: beautiful
light carbon colnago with record: more beautiful
don't bring that "only intrested in weight" line to a ww forum. you ask a bunch of ww about your bike, you are going to get the ww answer.
One more thing : PICS
Pollice verso.

I think I can speak for everyone in saying that we weren't meaning to downgrade his future purchase. I would be more than happy to own that. It's just that for that price he/she should be getting a lot more for their money or getting the same thing for a lot less.
My guess is he/she wants a bike thats reliable and wont have to be half replaced in six months and with that it seems a very good choice. Just hunt around a bit more mate. if divve is right about those prices you should be able to get the same bike for less than 3300. Thats at least a 700 dollar difference on what youve got at the moment.
Generally it must be said that thats a pretty solid build that you've put togetherand I'm sure that it'd be great to ride. Just take some time to find some good deals and don't take too much of what we say to heart. It's all constructive criticism.
