According to the latest test in Ducth magazine Fiets the puncture resistance of thenew Stelvio light isn't that bad. Also the rolling resistance was quite good. I am still using the old Stelvio light (according to a previous test the puncture resistance of this version is a lot worse), but I have never flatted on it. I use it as a front tire. I am using it in combination with a Michelin Latex innner tube.

Hi, our team is sponsored by Schwalbe. I would reccomend the Stelvio Evolution as a race tire, great grip and seems to roll well. I wouldnt suggest the Stelvio Lights as a 180g clincher is a puncture waiting to happen and the standard Stelvio seems a little more vulnerable to flats than most tires. The light is best for those on this forum who feel the need to put the bike on the scale rather than ride on it.
I train on either the Stelvio Plus (puncture resistant) or base miles on the Marathon 700x25C (virtually indestructable).
