Dan,
Any chance you weighed the chain rings, bottom bracket, crank arms separately?

What other components are people suing with these cranks? Would Campy record stuff work well/smooth shifting?

Good enough for Liquigas to use with Campagnolo 10 speed and now 11 speed!

Didn't know that! Thanks. That makes it an easy decision

Should a hollogram only be on a cannondale? It seems like a top crank, but you can't offend the fashion weenies :D

I've been pondering my next crank and I really like what I'm reading about the SiSL. Honestly, I don't care much about offending fashion weenies. The huge q-factor on the Clavs is a bit of a downer, so I'm not even considering those.

The SiSLs are super sexy. i have to agree, but the Claviculas are lighter I believe for the cranks and bb. The choice of rings will determine how much weight is saved with the THM. What is the q-factor of the SISL's?

Any comparisons between the Campy SR and the SISL? These look pretty damn sweet.

How much is the weight difference on crankarms only between SI and SL so I can see the actual difference.

I have SI arms here but no SL.

Is the SiSL the best crankset out there? It's crazy light, low q-factor, good price and very stiff. It may not have the 'look' that a clavicula does but it has it beat in Almost every other category. It wasn't in madcows crankset shootout but I think it would have done very well.

Thoughts?

Well, if you ask 5 different people what's the best crankset, you might hear 5 different answers!

What i like about the SI/SL cranks:

- crankset compability. You can convert a MTB crankset to road. You can run compact, you can run 130 or 135BCD, you can install a SRM unit.

- Cannondale been producing them for ages, and the design remains pretty much un-changed;

- Made in USA? - please correct me if i am wrong

- not as flashy as the Claviculas, but much, much cheaper

Performance wise though. At this weight, what's stiffer with a lower q-factor?You can't argue it can you?

Stopped by a Cannondale LBS shop and they qouted me $735 for the SISL cranks and $110 for the ceramic bearings. Are the ceraminc bearings any good?

I also mentioned that I was gonna try to run these with Di2 and he said it absolutely wont shift right. He said he spoke with a number of people at Cannondale and they can not get it working properly even at the headquarters, so there would be no way that he, I or any of his people could get it to work properly. He said Cannondale has been really frustrated trying to make it work but they haven't had success. I guess it's back to SRAM RED for me.
