Used BMC TT02 on ebay...comes up fairly regularly for $500-700 (to me that's budget). My favorite is actually a Giant Trinity Alliance which I see for about $6-800 on ebay regularly.

I've got a Leader 735 that I got on ebay. It's heavy as hell (1800 grams! Good thing all my TTs are flat!), but it's very stiff and not terribly uncomfortable to ride. The finishing quality and paint are good, the frame is straight, the BB was all chased and faced, and it built up into a pretty decent budget TT bike. Just bear in mind that it's up to 1.5 POUNDS heavier than some others out there.

Ribble have a couple of Alloy TT frames, the cheapest just under £100 for just the frame:

Canyon also have alloy TT frames.

does anybody know if they are actually available anywhere in Europe? I know my German Cervélo dealer can't get them.

Not unusual for Ribble. Although I did send a email to Ribble on Tuesday and they replied within a couple of hours.

Kuiper Trading imports cheap unpainted carbon TT frames from China to the Netherlands: http://www.kuipertrading.nl/index.php?p ... mes_carbon
Kuiper is a member of this forum too - or used to be since he haven't visited the forum since march: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3181

He sell the Aero Blade Lite frame for 999€:
