What about the Cube Agree SL...feedback

I think I've found what I've been looking for...the Cube Agree SL. A maintence free, attractive finish on a semi-sloping geometry frame made of lightweight 7005 Triple butted Aluminum tubing with a cool, rear seat stay comfort design, modern oversized bearing headset configuration and press-in BB design (I'm sure can be rigged up for my SI SRM setup) and aero cable routing. Basically, almost everything I wanted Cannondale Caad9 to be but wasn't.

Anybody have any experience with "Cube" bikes, particularly with the 2010 models? Are they even out yet? I see pricing (very high for an aluminum frame) but nobody says in stock yet.

This monster...

I can't read this review but that's what I'm looking for.

"Although some of its competitors are up to 350 Euros more expensive, the bargain "Agree Pro" comes out with one of the best overall results in this test. Cube shows that bikes purchased through a traditional LBS setup can also be right up there in terms of bang per buck with the mail order and customer direct bike companies. The black anodised alu-frame is well put together and scores excellently in terms of stiffness. The specification, with Shimano Ultegra gearing and brakes, a stem and bar combination from Syntace and the darling of those who ride a lot for many years, the Citec wheels is without fault. The only downside is the actually very comfortable Aliante saddle, which the testers found too slippery (in this version)."

It's not BB30 but a wider BB with standard size bearings for regular Shimano "external BB" cranksets. (Similar to Scott, Trek, Giant, Principia, Wilier etc. frames with press-fit bearings for Shimano).
Cannondale and other BB30 cranksets wont fit in this BB.

With press-fit bearings, the outer bearing ring is pressed directly into the housing and not screwed-in as usual. With its wider housing the down tube and the rear forks can be joined full width. Because the width of the housing is a parameter in the calculated stiffness, every millimetre of additional width gives a significant improvement of the lateral stiffness, retaining the comfort-bringing resilience of the rear stays. Press-fit bearings are used on the STING SUPER HPC, LITENING SUPER HPC and REACTION models.

Ye of little faith. There is nothing a metal lathe, money to waste and a few extra SI BB spindles cannot fit into. Piece of cake. Getting ready to throw it in a BMC this weekend. Although if Metrigear gets here this too, shall pass.

:)

Chiro - how did you end up with the Cube?

What about size wise?

No Cube. Nobody would sell one outside the UK. I'm USA. But I'm still entertaining the thought. I ended up getting a hunker clunker BMC SLO1. Very stiff and not a weight weenie but then again, neither am I. Will re-explore the Cube after I drop some weight and get my Di2 stuff later this year.

I couldn't get a solid release date either so I dropped the idea. Still like it but more & more frames are coming with internal wiring which is a cool feature. The non-BB30 isn't a problem, my BMC isn't either but I'm putting a Si crankset on it with a conversion kit and don't see issues with that one either.

Why not try buying it from Germany instead of the UK? Cube is a German company after all.

Bike-Discount, one of the biggest German online shops sell Cube and there's several other German online shops selling Cube too:
