I have a set of wheels that has a 9-speed DA cassette, what is the best way to convert it to work with 10 speed Campy dietarian. I assume it will not work as is. Has anyone used a Wheels Manufacturing cassette? How did it work? What other options do I have.

best things:

1)buy a 10speed campy hub body(if its replacable!) But you will have to buy a cassette also! BEST WAY!

2)Buy a 10speed DA cassette, will work. BANDAID FIX!

3)Buy a 9speed STI(not the best way!) DOWN GRADING!

Problem you have is, the difference from 9speed and 10speed is not just an extra gear on the end. Its an extra gear pushed in the middle! meaning the distance from each sproket is different.

I have seen a 9speed cassette working with a 10 speed BUT! at the end it didnt shift well. It can work pretty slopply but you dont want to do that.

you have to spend some money!

Wheels Mfg is a good solution. They basically put corrected spacers in an ultegra (or DA) cassette and provide spacers for you to tune where the cassette comes up agains the hub body on the inside. Works well, i have one.

With a little more money you can get a Ti Cycle dynamics. Lighter and more custom choices on gearing.

Hm, i only see Campy->Shimano conversion sets there, not the other way around. Am i blind?

I, too, like my Wheels Mfg 10-speed Casette, btw. Lighter than the AM Classic

I think they mean campy spacing on a shimano hub ..Well, more specifically:

I've never heard of anyone doing shimano spacing on a campy hub. Is there even an interest in that, now that DA has 10-speed, maybe?
