I have previously tried to press a hollow pin back into a chain, it didnt work very well :(

If the hollow pin 89R is thinner than the standard, a shimano joining pin may work (a standard 89R is a touch to wide, and the link is tight).

Is there a way to use the 89 hollow chain on a 8spd set up. Ihave been told it will not work. What would be the lightest chain to use , other than my regina hollw pin chain ?

How about the durablity and lifespan of hollow pin chains comparing to solid pin ones? Don't they stretch faster? Just curious.
